A born paddler! Notice his classic paddle grip in the first photo. (with his white outfit and the red trim) I bet you could photoshop a paddle into his hands. Happy New Year to all of you from the Saskatchewan River boys.

Hi Patricia,
I’ll be flying out with the kids to Toronto this summer. Not sure if we’ll be able to make it into Killarney before we head out again this May. If we do, we’ll drop in to say hello for sure!
My partner and I stumbled upon your blog while we were researching canoe routes down the Qu’appelle River. We cannot find a way to e-mail you on this blog, so we thought we’d try here. We would like to canoe the river this spring, and have lots of questions to find answers to. If you feel like talking shop, shoot me an e-mail, requinamoore at yahoo dot ca. Beautiful shots of your little ones, lucky kids to get to grow up on the water with such intrepid parents. Cheers.
Hi there,
We are heading out for our final season on May 18. We’d love to chat before then, if you have time.
The Qu’appelle River was a very nice paddle from start to finish. The river folds back on itself so many times that you get to see the beautiful valley over and over 🙂 There are a few surprise (unmarked) weirs and rapids, so keep your eyes and ears peeled. Also, around the Lumsden area there were a lot of sweepers and log jams from the flooding that made for some tricky paddling. In places there was just enough room to get our canoe through.
We can be reached at email@canoeacrosscanada.ca to arrange a time to chat. Talk to you soon!
I’m not sure if my e-mail got through or not, so I’m just sending a quick message to say that yes, we would love to chat with you and maybe check your spam/junk mail folder for my e-mail message? Hopefully we can connect. You can reach me at requinamoore (at) yahoo (dot) ca. Cheers!
